Alpha 0.5 - Fishing Skill, Shark Furry and More!

Thank you for your continued support! We’re excited to share the latest updates with you. As always, we’re committed to improving the game and bringing you new content. Here's what’s new in this update:

Quests & NPCs

• Fixed a bug where quests completed in one run were marked as completed in subsequent runs.
• The "A Golden Opportunity" quest now tracks the total balance of the bank instead of just deposits.
• Fixed a bug where the level-up screen wouldn’t display if a furry leveled up more than once and evolved during that level-up.
• Added 3 new stages for Sasha, the Bunny’s Store Owner.
• Added Maris, the fishing quest NPC on the beach (7 growth stages – weight gain).
• Quests can now reward you with items at the start (e.g., "Master the Basics" now gives 8 fishing baits at the start of the quest).
• Quests can now require you to talk to certain NPCs to progress.
• Quests may now require items to continue (e.g., Maris will require the fish you catch).
• Quests can now reward direct experience (shared among the active furries).
• Added 3 new quests to Maris. Completing the last quest will reward you with the Shark Furry.
• After completing Maris's questline, you’ll be able to feed her with fish (for weight gain).
• Rare fish are more appreciated by Maris, and will help her grow faster.

Fishing

• Fishing now has its own experience system! Earn experience, unlock new fish, reduce the number of catches required, and double the fish quantity as you level up.
• The fishing minigame now re-enables itself automatically until you click "Return" in the upper-left corner, making it easier to keep catching fish.
• Added 3 new fish (Rock, Mana, and Brawler). Each gives a 10% buff to defense, mana cost reduction, and strength, respectively.
• Added a fishing level and experience bar to the fishing minigame.
• New feeding minigame! Drag and drop food to feed Maris. <3

Furries & Skills

• Added Shark Furry! Complete all of Maris's fishing quests to unlock her.
• Introduced a new skill: Shark's Bite, which causes Bleed damage over time (and stacks!). :3
• You can now have a maximum of three furries in your inventory.
• Fixed a bug that allowed you to leave all your furries at home.

Items & Boosts

• Fixed a bug where using items during a fight wouldn’t advance the boosts. Items now properly contribute to boosting effects.
• Redesigned the mana boost, now called "Mana Cost Reduction," which decreases your mana cost for a set number of turns.
• Redesigned the HP boost, now called "Temporary HP," granting extra HP for a set number of turns before reverting to your original HP.
• Items can now apply buffs! Three new fish found on the beach provide mana cost reduction, strength buffs, and defense buffs.
• Added the bank balance and player money display while you’re at the bank.
• Fixed a bug where some quest dialogues could only be played once. Now you can listen to them on all runs.

Enemies & Combat

• Fixed the attack strength of the polar bear.
• Added a new enemy to the Alley.
• Before battles, you can now view the enemy’s level.

Bank & Inventory

• Upgraded the inventory system during fights to support more items.
• The bank now displays your balance and player money while at the bank.
• Renamed Tuna to Bass.
